Pet Wellness Exams

By Dr. Lidija Krvavac

"Just a checkup" undersells it, an annual wellness exam is one of the most important things you can do for your pet's health.

In this video, Dr. Lidija Krvavac explains what a wellness exam actually covers, and why it matters.

Key Takeaways from Dr. Lidija:
- Once a Year Is Usually Enough: For young, healthy pets, an annual exam does the job.
- Nose to Tail: We check dental health, skin, and everything in between.
- Catch Issues Early: Small problems are far easier to manage before they grow.
- Paired with Vaccination: The yearly exam and vaccination together form the core of a solid wellness plan.

Hi, I'm Dr. Lidija. Here are a few things about general checkups, annual exams, or what we call just a checkup. I'd like to say it's not just a checkup. These are very important parts of our pets ' health. For a pet that is relatively young, once-a-year examination is generally enough, but it allows us to check the pet from nose to tail, from top to bottom. It is very important that we check their dental health, their skin, and that we check for any issues so that we can react on time and in advance before something becomes a big problem. That's why the yearly exam with vaccination is usually a really important part of the entire wellness program.
