The Maltipoo is a cross between the Maltese and the Poodle, two very popular dog breeds. They had their roots right in the late 1990s, when a surge in the popularity of designer breeds was at its height.
Breeders aimed to develop a companion dog that combined the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the affectionate and gentle nature of the Maltese. Despite their short history, Maltipoos have continued to become beloved parts of many homes and families.

Maltipoos require daily brushing with a slicker brush to prevent matting and tangling. Alternatively, brushing 3 to 4 times a week is also good enough.
