What is a pet passport?
Your pet's passport combines their microchip ID, vaccination records, vet health certificate, and other official permits. This document ensures that your pet meets local and international regulations, which may vary slightly by destination country.
Without it, your pet may face lengthy quarantines, costly delays, or be denied entry. With a well-prepared pet passport, you protect your pet's health and ensure their documentation is fully compliant with local and international regulations.
How do we help you get a pet passport?
We implant a 15-digit ISO-compliant microchip under your pet's skin, usually between the shoulder blades. This provides a permanent ID for your pet.
Rabies vaccination is mandatory for domestic and international pet travel. This must be given at least 30 days but not more than one year prior to travel.
We provide essential core vaccinations for parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis (dogs), panleukopenia, calicivirus, and herpesvirus (cats). These are mandatory for travel.
Our team provides dewormers for your pet for both external and internal parasites. Treatment must be done within 14 days prior to the departure date.
Measures the effectiveness of your pet's rabies vaccine, ensuring a neutralizing antibody level of at least ≥ 0.5 IU/ml. Done 21+ days after vaccination.
We provide a vet health certificate and help you with official import/export documentation certified by authorities of the UAE or the destination country.
Who is eligible for a pet passport?
Pets must be at least 15 weeks old at the time of departure. This requirement ensures that the pet is old enough to have received the rabies and core vaccinations.
The following breeds are banned from export/import (particularly for dogs):
American Bully
American Pit Bull Terrier
Pit Bull Terrier
Japanese Tosa (TosaInu; Tosa Fighting Dog)
Argentinian Fighting Dog
Brazilian Fighting Dog
Staffordshire Bull Terrier

UAE allows up to two pets per year, which can either be two cats, two dogs, or one of each.

How does the pet passport application work?
How long does it take to get a pet passport?
We can issue a pet passport on the same day your pet receives their vaccinations. If it’s your pet’s first vaccination round, the passport will be provided during that visit. However, this will be considered incomplete as the full course of vaccinations is required for travel.
If your pet is coming in for annual vaccinations and has lost their previous passport, we can issue a replacement at the same time.
Please note that travel timelines depend on the destination country. While the passport is generally valid as long as your pet’s vaccinations and parasite treatments are up to date, some countries may have additional requirements, such as rabies titer tests or specific health certificates.
