What is a pet passport?
Your pet's passport is essentially a travel document that combines their microchip ID, vaccination records, vet health certificate, and other official permits. This document ensures that your pet meets international regulations for travel, which may vary by destination country.
Without it, your pet may face lengthy quarantines, costly delays, or be denied entry. With a well-prepared pet passport, you protect your pet's health and ensure their documentation is fully compliant with local and international regulations.
How do we help you get a pet passport?

How long does it take to get a pet passport?
We can issue a pet passport on the same day your pet receives their vaccinations. If it’s your pet’s first vaccination round, the passport will be provided during that visit. However, this will be considered incomplete as the full course of vaccinations is required for travel.
If your pet is coming in for annual vaccinations and has lost their previous passport, we can issue a replacement at the same time.
Please note that travel timelines depend on the destination country. While the passport is generally valid as long as your pet’s vaccinations and parasite treatments are up to date, some countries may have additional requirements, such as rabies titer tests or specific health certificates.

Questions? We're Here to Help

Still have questions?
Our team is here to help. Get in touch for personalized answers.
When should I start planning for my pet's travel?
We recommend planning 3-6 months in advance because of the number of requirements and strictness of UAE pet travel rules.
What happens if my pet’s rabies vaccine has expired before travel?
Your pet must be revaccinated and then wait 21 days before traveling to most countries. This reset may also affect eligibility for a rabies titer test if your destination requires one.
Do all countries require a rabies titer test?
No, the rabies titer test is generally just required for select contries, including most of the European Union, the UK, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. Always check the destination country's requirements.
Does my pet need a new passport for every trip?
Not necessarily. Your pet's passport is a permanent document. However, you will need to update your pet's vaccinations, deworming treatments, and health history as needed. A vet health certificate and permits will also need to be requested again for each new trip.
What happens if the requirements are incomplete?
Airlines can prevent your pet from boarding if documentation is invalid. Additionally, you may be asked to pay for immedate repatriation or quarantine fees.
Can I apply for a pet passport if my pet has a medical condition?
Yes, but our vets must confirm that your pet is fit to travel. Some chronic conditions may not disqualify your pet, but they must be disclosed during the health check to ensure airline safety and country import compliance.
