Why spaying or neutering matters

Spaying or neutering your pet protects them from serious health risks, including infections, tumors, and certain cancers. It also significantly reduces unwanted behaviors such as aggression, roaming, and spraying.

When you choose to spay or neuter your pet, you help improve their daily comfort, reduce the stray population in the city, and protect the community.

When is the best time to spay or neuter my pet?

We typically recommend neutering cats at 4-6 months of age, before they reach sexual maturity. Small and medium-sized dogs are usually spayed or neutered between 6 and 9 months, while large and giant breeds wait a bit later, around 12-18 months.

Early spaying or neutering ensures your pet is protected early on. Our vets will assess your pet’s age, breed, and medical history to recommend the safest and most appropriate timing.

How much does pet neutering cost?

Our neutering prices are based on your pet’s weight, sex, and species. All procedures will be performed under general anesthesia and handled by our expert veterinary team. Final pricing may vary depending on your pet's health condition.

Do spaying and neutering have risks?

Yes, spaying and neutering may have some risks. Common examples include infections, bleeding, and anesthesia reactions. However, these are generally uncommon and minimal when handled by expert veterinarians.

Will my pet change after the surgery?

Your pet’s personality won’t change, but you’ll notice fewer episodes that are driven by hormones like aggression, marking, and roaming. Many pets become calmer and appear more comfortable.

Is this safe for cats and dogs?

Spaying and neutering are considered very safe, as it's a routine and common procedure done for cats and dogs. While surgery may carry minimal risks, they offer significant health benefits that outweigh the initial risks.

Can you spay my pet that just gave birth?

Technically, yes. However, we recommend waiting 6-8 weeks to allow the pet's body to recover and for milk production to stop. We can recommend a definite schedule when you visit the clinic with your pet.

Is there an age limit for spaying or neutering?

There's no strict age limit for pet spaying and neutering. Older pets can still be safely sterilized. However, we recommend having the procedure for your pet as early as possible so they can enjoy the health benefits and protection.

How long is the recovery time?

Most pets recover within 7 to 10 days. To ensure they heal successfully and quickly, we’ll give you clear instructions on how to care for them at home. For any concerns or questions, our team is always available to help you.
