Why should I vaccinate my dog?
Routine dog vaccinations are among the best ways to protect your pet from highly serious and potentially fatal diseases. They are key parts of your dog's defense against diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, rabies, leptospirosis, and kennel cough.
These diseases spread quickly and are hard to treat. Some can even affect people. By having your dog vaccinated, you can protect both your best friend and the wider community.
It's a simple step in responsible pet care. Dog vaccinations support long-term health, reduce the risk of costly emergencies, and ensure compliance with local regulations and travel requirements.

When should my dog get vaccinated?
Dog vaccinations should start during puppyhood. Puppies must have their first round of vaccinations at around 6-8 weeks of age. Our team provides three booster rounds, spaced 3-4 weeks apart, until they are 16 weeks old. The rabies vaccine should also be administered around 16 weeks of age.
Adults need regular booster shots to maintain their immunity. Vaccines for DA2PP and rabies require a booster shot after 1 year, followed by subsequent boosters every 1-3 years, depending on lifestyle and local risk. If your dog missed any doses, our vets can help them safely get back on track with the schedule.
The earlier they start, the sooner they are protected.

Are vaccines required for dog boarding, grooming, or daycare?
Yes. Most facilities require proof of up-to-date vaccinations, especially for rabies, DHPPi, and kennel cough. This ensures the safety of the handlers and other dogs in the facilities.
Are there any potential side effects?
Some dogs may experience lethargy, reduced appetite, localized pain, or low-grade fever. We recommend keeping an eye on your dog at home after receiving a dose. Contact us if you notice any concerning signs.
Can vaccinations cause behavioral changes in my dog?
In most cases, dogs won't show any significant forms of behavioral changes. Some may appear less interested in activities, appear stressed, or seem withdrawn. If so, these usually last 1-2 days.
What should I do if my dog misses a dose?
If your dog misses a vaccine dose, contact us immediately. We can easily create a new schedule for them, helping them get back on track. To keep the protection consistent, we recommend avoiding delays.
Can my dog be vaccinated if they’re feeling ill?
It's generally not a good idea to vaccinate dogs when they are feeling ill, as this might render the dose ineffective. We recommend waiting for them to recover so we can safely administer the vaccines without any potential issues.
Do you accept walk-ins or offer home service vaccinations?
Yes, we do accept walk-ins and offer home vaccination services. However, we recommend booking in advance whenever possible, as schedules can get busy, especially during weekends or travel seasons. Booking makes sure your dog can visit comfortably.
